About Jonah:
Jonah Stevenson (he/him) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chicago who works with overthinkers, obsessive spirals, and people who feel like they are never quite getting it right, especially when navigating identity, relationships, or emotional intensity.
He specializes in OCD, perfectionism, complex trauma, and mood variability, including clients living with bipolar disorder. Jonah also works with neurodivergent and queer clients who want to feel more secure in themselves and in their relationships. He supports individuals and partners navigating polyamory, kink dynamics, or communication patterns that feel stuck or high-stakes. The goal is not to police connection but to build honesty, safety, and clarity where it matters most.
His approach blends ACT, ERP, Schema Therapy, and parts work. Whether you feel stuck in mental loops, burned out from masking, or unsure who you are in the context of others, therapy with Jonah focuses on helping you build clarity and movement without forcing certainty.
Outside the therapy room, Jonah enjoys puzzles, reality dating shows, and exploring Chicago’s bookstores. He brings structure, humor, and focused attention to help clients find steadier ground and a more honest relationship with themselves.
